Tirumal: TTD plans ‘divine plantation project’ on 100 acres to grow sacred temple trees

Tirumala, Dec 13 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the world-renowned hill shrine of Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala, is planning a unique sacred and ecological initiative titled the Divine Plantation Project, to be developed over 100 acres of land,
TTD Trust Board Chairman B.R. Naidu announced here this evening and said the project aims to cultivate Agama-approved “Temple Trees” to produce Dwajasthambhams—the sacred flag masts that occupy a central.
With the proposed Divine Plantation Project, TTD will become the first temple institution in the country to systematically cultivate its own sacred trees exclusively for Dwajasthambham construction, ensuring continuity of Agamic purity, spiritual integrity, ecological responsibility, and institutional self-reliance for generations to come.
