Three scientists from Japan, Australia and US share 2025 Nobel Prize for Chemistry

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Nobel Prize for Chemistry this year will be shared by three scientists from Japan, Australia and the US for development of a new form of molecular architecture, the Nobel Committee announced today.
Susumu Kitagawa of Kyoto University, Japan, Richard Robson of the University of Melbourne, Australia, and Omar M. Yaghi of University of California, Berkeley, US were named for the coveted award
The Nobel Committee said in a release that the three laureates have created molecular constructions with large spaces through which gases and other chemicals can flow. These constructions, metal–organic frameworks, can be used to harvest water from desert air, capture carbon dioxide, store toxic gases or catalyse chemical reactions.
