Three militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, May 13 (UNI) Five people, including three militants, were nabbed in separate incidents during the last 24 hours in trouble-torn Manipur.
The state police said on Tuesday that security forces arrested two persons who were allegedly involved in a mob attack on the RSS office in Haraorou in Imphal East district in November 2024.
Security forces also arrested a cadre of Kangleipak Communist Party-People's War Group KCP (PWG) from Khongjom along NH-102 in Thoubal district, police said.
In another incident security forces arrested two active members of KCP (PWG) from a rented house located at Mantripukhri Mercylane, Imphal East District .
Search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces at G. Khomunuam village, Churachandpur district, and recovered arms. Three hand grenades (locally assembled), two IEDs, tear smoke shells and anti-riot cartridge were also recovered, police said.
