Three booked in Karnataka moral policing case

Bengaluru, July 19 (UNI) Three persons have been booked for allegedly assaulting a youth in a suspected case of moral policing after he was seen walking with a Muslim woman in Karnataka's Bengaluru Rural district, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Dobbaspet police station in Nelamangala taluk. The accused have been identified as Tahreek Pasha, Sohel Pasha and Syed Kareem. Police said all three are absconding and efforts are underway to trace and arrest them.
According to the complaint lodged by the woman, identified as Kausar, she was walking with her friend Yashwanth when the accused allegedly intercepted them, abused them and assaulted Yashwanth.
