These are the best of times for young Indians to become job creators: Jitendra

Jammu, Jan 16 (UNI) Stating that these are the best of times for young Indians, who can start their own ventures, and emerge as job creators rather than job seekers, union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday said that two lakh start-ups are now operating across diverse sectors.
"Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world, with over two lakh startups operating across diverse sectors, including biotechnology, information technology, agriculture and healthcare. Earlier, there were a mere 350 to 400 startups in the country," said Dr Singh during a programme at the CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) here on the occasion of National Startup Day.
Singh said the "Purple Revolution" originating from Doda had offered a Himalayan model of Startup and entrepreneurship.
