Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) Thalapathy Vijay, one of South India's most celebrated stars, is set to enthral audiences worldwide with his upcoming film, "Jan Nayakan".

It is slated for a grand theatrical release on January nine, 2026 - just ahead of Makar Sankranti and Pongal festivals.

Directed by visionary filmmaker H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, "Jana Nayagan" is already creating ripples across the industry.

The film's first-look poster has already sent the internet into a frenzy, showcasing Vijay striking a commanding pose, taking a selfie with a sea of electrified fans, a visual ode to his unbreakable bond with his devoted audience.

The title, "Jana Nayagan", translating to 'People's Leader', perfectly encapsulates Vijay's paramount influence, both within the cinematic realm and beyond. The film seamlessly blends his real-world charisma with his cinematic grandeur, further cementing his unparalleled legacy.

Bankrolled by KVN Productions in association with Fars Film, the movie's global distribution strategy has been meticulously crafted to ensure an unprecedented international footprint. From Chennai to Chicago, Mumbai to Melbourne, the audience will unite to witness history in the making.

The production house announced on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram that "Jana Nayagan" will be released in theatres on January nine next year. They wrote, “Adiyum othaiyum kalanthu vechu vidiya vidiya virundhu vecha.. #JanaNayaganPongal. 09.01.2026 #JanaNayaganFromJan9.”

The poster they released shows Vijay dressed in white and striking a pose as he dances in a colourful melee of people.

The film boasts of formidable ensemble cast Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Prakash Raj. The film features music by Anirudh Ravichander.
