TGSRTC denies increase in normal bus fares, adjusts toll charges

Hyderabad, June 12 (UNI) The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has denied rumours that it has increased normal bus fares.
In a statement released on Wednesday, TGSRTC clarified that normal charges remain unchanged. The central government's recent decision to increase toll charges on highways has led to a revision of the toll cess in ticket prices. This revised toll cess came into effect on June 3. The management has modified the toll cess only on routes with toll plazas, and there is no change in ticket fares on regular routes.
TGSRTC emphasized that spreading misinformation on social media about an increase in regular bus fares without knowing the facts is harmful. The corporation warned that it will take legal action with the help of the police department against those who spread such false propaganda, which could damage the reputation of the organization.
