Terrorists attacked soul of India, guilty to face punishment beyond their imagination: PM

Madhubani, Apr 24 (UNI) In his first public expression against the Pahalgam terror attack two days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday issued a stern warning that terrorists and conspirators involved in the ghastly incident will face punishment "beyond their imagination".
"The Pahalgam terror attack is an attack on the soul of India and every peace-loving person is in favour of strong action against the culprits," Modi said, adding that those involved in the act, would be identified, tracked and punished. "No one would be spared", he warned.
"Those involved in the attack would be chased till end of the earth," he said.
At least 27 tourists from across the country and a local died in a dastardly attack by terrorists in the picturesque tourist destination of J&K's Pahalgam on April 22, drawing worldwide condemnation and anger in the country.
While addressing a public meeting in Bihar's Madhubani, the Prime Minister said the entire country was united and was deeply disturbed by the gruesome act of terrorists.
The PM said people from different parts of India were in Pahalgam when they were attacked by terrorists. Those who lost their lives were from various states and spoke different languages, he said, adding the dead also included one person from Bihar.
The PM thanked all world leaders and people of their countries who stood with India in condemning the Pahalgam terror attack. Those injured in terror attack were being given the best medical treatment to ensure their early recovery, he added.
The public meeting addressed by the Prime Minister was his first after the Pahalgam terror attack.
