Telangana to support Ghana in establishing pharma hub: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad, June 10 (UNI) Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Wednesday said the State Government was ready to guide the industrial development of the Republic of Ghana and extend full support for the establishment of a proposed Pharma Hub in the African nation.
A high-level delegation led by Augustus Obuadum Tano, Presidential Advisor to the Republic of Ghana, called on the Minister at the Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat and held discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation and industrial partnerships between Telangana and Ghana.
During the meeting, the Ghana delegation briefed the Minister on the country’s flagship initiatives, including the “24-Hour Economy” and “Accelerated Export Development Programme,” besides plans to establish a Pharma Hub to boost industrial and economic growth.
The delegation sought Telangana’s cooperation and expertise in advancing Ghana’s industrial transformation.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu said Telangana had achieved rapid industrial growth in a short period and emerged as a global hub in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, electronics, aerospace, food processing, defence and advanced manufacturing.
He explained the State Government’s “Ease of Doing Business” policies and initiatives aimed at promoting industrial investment and innovation.
The Minister informed the delegation that Telangana was prepared to share its expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, vaccine production, research, life sciences and global supply chain management.
Assuring full cooperation, Sridhar Babu said Telangana would remain a reliable partner in Ghana’s industrial and economic transformation efforts, according to an official statement.
