Telangana to soon release funds, issue guidelines for caste-based BC corporations: Minister

Hyderabad, May 15 (UNI) Telangana Backward Classes (BC) Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday announced that the state government would soon allocate funds to the caste-based corporations established by the Congress government and issue clear guidelines regarding their duties and functions.
Speaking at a meeting of the Perika community held at Welfare Bhavan, the minister said the Congress government had, for the first time in the state’s history, established dedicated corporations for various Backward Class communities to ensure their welfare and development.
On the occasion, Dongari Venkateshwarlu and Budagam Srinivas formally assumed charge as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Perika Caste Corporation. They received a charge from the State BC Corporations Commissioner, Balamaya Devi.
