Telangana: Sub-Treasury Officer held on graft charges in Peddapalli Dist

Hyderabad, Jan 23 (UNI) A Sub-Treasury Officer Aekula Maheshwar working at Ramagundam, Peddapalli district and office subordinate Reddavena Pavan were caught red-handed on Thursday when they demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant for sanctioning his pension.
Of the total bribe amount, Rs 9,000 was for the Sub-Treasury officer and Rs 1,000 for office subordinate, ACB said in a release here.
Both the accused have performed their duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
