Hyderabad, Aug 13 (UNI) The Ranga Reddy district Joint Collector and senior Assistant working at the District collector's office have been taken into custody by the Anti corruption Bureau (ACB) on graft charges.
The Joint collector MV Bhoopal Reddy was taken into custody by the ACB after the Senior Assistant Y Madan Mohan Reddy was caught red-handed on Monday night while accepting a bribe of Rs 8 lakh at the behest of the Joint collector from one JakkidiMuthyam Reddy, of Balapur Mandal, to remove the 14 guntas of land from prohibited list in Dharani website.
The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of Mohan Reddy, from his car, ACB said in a release here.
