Telangana: Ramchander Rao alleges BRS running false campaign against BJP

Hyderabad, May 18 (UNI) Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Monday accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and its working president K T. Rama Rao of spreading false propaganda against the BJP and targeting the family members of union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for political gain.
Speaking at a preparatory meeting held at the BJP state office in Hyderabad for upcoming programmes, including World Yoga Day, Environment Day and celebrations marking 12 years of the Government of India, Ramchander Rao alleged that the BRS was attempting to divert public attention from issues such as the Kaleshwaram project controversy, Formula E-Race issue and the liquor scam by launching a malicious campaign against the BJP.
He said seeking anticipatory bail is a statutory right and questioned the BRS over its criticism, alleging that several leaders from the previous BRS government had also sought similar legal protection in different cases.
