Telangana Minister Seethakka launches Omega Cancer Foundation

Hyderabad, March 8 (UNI) Telangana Minister for Women and Child Welfare Ms Seethakka today launched the Omega Cancer Foundation during the Omega Women’s Wellness Summit 2026, organised by Omega Hospitals to mark International Women’s Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Seethakka emphasised the need to strengthen preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and access to quality cancer care, particularly for women. She highlighted the crucial role women play in families and society and stressed the importance of prioritising women’s health and wellbeing.
Seethakka said regular health check-ups and awareness are essential, adding that the HPV vaccine plays a key role in preventing cervical cancer. She urged families and communities to support women in adopting preventive healthcare practices and timely screening.
