Telangana Minister Asharuddin assures support to address Sikh community’s pending demands

Hyderabad, Dec 14 (UNI) Telangana Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin today assured the Sikh community that the government would take steps to address its long-pending demands, drawing a cricketing analogy and promising to help the community achieve a “hat trick” on key issues.
The assurance came during an event organised by the Telangana Sikh Society at Guru Nanak High School, Sikh Chawniat, Attapur, to observe Sahibzaade Shahadat Diwas, commemorating the martyrdom of the two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh.
Telangana Sikh Society president Tejdeep Kaur Menon highlighted the community’s longstanding concerns, including allocation of land for a Sikh Cultural Centre and Gurudwara Sahib, establishment of a residential school for Sikhs, and extension of honorarium to Sikh granthis and ragis of 44 gurudwaras in the state.
