Telangana has adequate urea stocks, farmers need not panic: Tummala

Hyderabad, June 16 (UNI) Telangana Agriculture and Cooperation Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday assured farmers that the state has sufficient stocks of urea and other fertilisers and that the government is committed to ensuring timely supply without causing inconvenience to the farming community.
Participating in the "Rythu Nestham" programme, the Minister said the fertiliser app introduced by the government has brought transparency and efficiency to urea distribution.
He noted that over 4.06 lakh farmers have booked 13.22 lakh bags of urea through the app, of which 11.18 lakh bags have already been purchased, achieving a delivery rate of 84.6 per cent.
