Telangana Govt submit Memorandum to PM Modi Seeking BC Caste Enumeration in Census

Hyderabad, May 10 (UNI) The Telangana government has urged the Centre to include a dedicated provision for BC caste data collection in the census process, stating that such enumeration would help in formulating welfare measures and ensuring social justice for backward communities.
A memorandum in this regard was submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday before he departed for Gujarat after concluding his Hyderabad tour.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin besides Protocol Chairman Harkara Venugopal, submitted the memorandum to the Prime Minister seeking inclusion of a separate column for Backward Classes (BC) caste enumeration in Column 13 of the household schedule for the nationwide census exercise currently underway.

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI): Doctors at Kamineni Hospitals on Tuesday said that they have successfully reconstructed the jaw of a 39-year-old man using bone and tissue from his leg after oral cancer caused by a prolonged history of gutkha chewing and smoking destroyed a portion of his jawbone.
