Telangana Govt ensuring minorities receive their due share in welfare & employment: CM

Hyderabad, May 8 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday said the State government is committed to ensuring that minorities receive their rightful share in welfare schemes, employment opportunities and development initiatives.
Speaking after flagging off buses carrying Haj pilgrims to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at the Haj House in Nampally, the Chief Minister said the government has been extending support to minority communities through various welfare programmes and educational initiatives.
Recalling last year’s Haj pilgrimage tragedy in which 44 people from Telangana lost their lives in a bus accident, Revanth Reddy said the government stood by the bereaved families and provided compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
