Telangana Govt committed to reviving handloom sector: CM Reddy

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy extended warm greetings to the weavers' community on the occasion of National Handloom Day on Thursday and reiterated his government's commitment to restoring the former glory of the handloom sector in the state.
Highlighting the importance of the sector, the Chief Minister said the government is giving equal priority to the welfare of weavers as it does to farmers. He noted that the state has already cleared pending dues and waived off loans up to Rs 1 lakh for weavers to ease their financial burden.
Revanth Reddy also emphasised the government’s focus on long-term development and security for weaving families through several innovative schemes. “We are implementing Telangana Handloom Abhaya Hastam, Telangana Netanna Savings, Netanna Insurance, and Telangana Netannaku Bharosa to ensure the holistic development of our weavers,” he said.
