Telangana Govt approves appointment of 223 Panchayat Secretaries, brings relief to staff

Hyderabad, Feb 13 (UNI) In a major relief to Panchayat Secretaries, the Telangana government has approved the appointment of 223 Panchayat Secretaries who had lost their local status following the issuance of G.O. No. 317 by the previous government and were working in remote areas on inter-district deputation for the past two years.
Orders to this effect were issued by Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, N. Sridhar. The decision follows the government’s move to address the hardships faced by employees affected by G.O. 317.
Panchayat Raj Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka played a key role in facilitating the decision. Taking note of the difficulties faced by the Panchayat Secretaries, the Minister held discussions with representatives of the Panchayat Secretaries’ Association and reviewed their grievances in detail. Subsequently, she issued clear instructions to officials to expedite the resolution process.
