Telangana govt announces Rs 5L ex-gratia to fire victims’ families

Hyderabad, May 18 (UNI) In the wake of the tragic fire near Gulzar House in Hyderabad’s Old City that claimed 17 lives, including eight children, the Telangana government has announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
The state has also pledged to extend all possible support to the affected families and take stringent measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, accompanied by Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Damodar Raja Narasimha, State Government Advisor Shabbir Ali, and Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, visited the Osmania Hospital mortuary and the fire site.
