Telangana CM Orders Officials to Remain on High Alert Throughout Monsoon Season

Hyderabad, June 14 (UNI)) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday directed all departments to remain on high alert throughout the monsoon season and warned of strict action against officials found negligent in discharging their responsibilities during emergencies.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on monsoon preparedness at the MCRHRD Institute's Bodhi Pavilion, the Chief Minister stressed that all necessary measures should be taken to ensure that citizens do not face inconvenience during heavy rains.
Reviewing the situation that prevailed during the heavy rainfall in the Core Urban Region (CURE) on June 9, Revanth Reddy expressed displeasure over the severe traffic congestion witnessed in several parts of Hyderabad, particularly in Cyberabad.

AP: Woman stripped, beaten up in public glare in Guntur, CM expresses anger

Guntur, July 18 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a woman was stripped and beaten in full public glare by a transgender at Krishnababu colony in this coastal town allegedly at the behest of a Telugu Desam party functionary. Though the incident took place on the night of July 15, it came to light through social media only on Saturday.
A dispute had broken out between two families on drawing water from the public tap. An altercation took place between the victim and TDP 21 division secretary Mallela Venkataramana Murthy on the issue.
