Telangana CM inaugurates Srimad Bhagavatam Part-1 film project at Ramoji Film City

Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today inaugurated the film project “Srimad Bhagavatam Part-1” at a grand ceremony held at Ramoji Film City here.

The event marked the launch of a spiritual cinematic venture being produced by Akash Sagar Chopra under the banner of Sagar Pictures Entertainment.
In his address, Chief Minister lauded the choice of Ramoji Film City—India’s premier film production hub—as the venue for this significant cultural production.
“It is a matter of immense pride that such a world-class facility exists in Telangana,” he said, adding, “The idea of bringing Srimad Bhagavatam to the screen is commendable. I congratulate the film team for taking up this spiritual and artistic endeavor.”
Reflecting on the impact of mythological storytelling through visual media, CM Revanth recalled the influence of the Ramayana serial aired four decades ago.
“That series brought Ramayana closer to the common people, and during the COVID pandemic, its rebroadcast created a world record,” he noted.
Reaffirming his government's commitment to the cultural and creative sectors, the Chief Minister revealed that the upcoming Vision 2047 document—Telangana’s roadmap to becoming a USD 3 trillion economy—will include a dedicated chapter for the film industry.

“We are working towards making Telangana a USD 1 trillion economy by 2035, and a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047. The film sector will have a special section in this vision,” he stated.

The chief minister expressed his hope that Srimad Bhagavatam Part-1 will resonate with audiences just as powerfully as the legendary Ramayana series directed by Ramanand Sagar.
Prominent leaders including Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, and MLA Rangareddy were also present at the event and extended their best wishes to the film team.
