Telangana CM asks officials to chalk out plan to increase BC quota in local body elections

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI)Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday directed the officials to prepare an action plan to increase the BC ( Backward Classes) quota in the upcoming Local Body Panchayat elections.
Reddy, who conducted a review of the proposal to enhance the BC quota in the local body elections at the Secretariat here, also asked the officials to prepare an action plan to increase BC quota as well as to conduct the elections at the earliest to avoid the delay in the release of central funds to the local bodies.
The CM discussed the issue of increasing reservation elaborately in the meeting.
