Telangana CM appeals to Amit Shah for funds to repair damage from heavy rains

New Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has appealed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to release Rs. 11,713.49 crore for the restoration and repair of infrastructure damaged by recent heavy rains in the state.
During a meeting with the Union Minister in Delhi on Monday, CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the severe impact of the heavy rains that lashed Telangana between August 31 and September 8.
He noted that the torrential downpour led to the loss of 37 lives, the death of over one lakh cattle and other livestock, and extensive damage to crops across 4.15 lakh acres. Additionally, roads, culverts, ponds, ditches, and canals in the state were severely affected.
