Teen Indian trucker arrested in Nepal with 270kg marijuana

Bara (Nepal), June 19 (UNI) A 19-year-old from Bihar, carrying 270 kg of contraband marijuana, was arrested by Bara police in Nepal from Amalekhgunj in Jeetpur Simara sub-metropolitan city.
The police stopped an Indian truck with license plate NL 01 N 3063 travelling from Hetauda to Pathlaiya for a routine security check at 12.30 pm on Tuesday.
The officers discovered marijuana hidden in the truck leading to the arrest of Antyas Kumar Giri hailing from Dhanhar Dihuli, Ramgarhwa in Bihar.
The truck was impounded for further investigation, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dadhiram Nyaupane, Bara, which is the third richest district in Nepal after Kathmandu and Morang.
