Teaser of Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Tu Yaa Main’ promises survival thriller

Los Angeles/ New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) The makers of Bejoy Nambiar’s upcoming survival thriller ‘Tu Yaa Main’ have released the film’s first teaser, giving audiences a glimpse of the high-stakes drama starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, reports Variety.
The film is set for release on February 13, just ahead of Valentine’s Day.
The teaser plunges viewers into the world of two content creators from very different backgrounds who come together for a collaboration driven by curiosity, social media influence, and mutual attraction.
What starts as an energetic adventure quickly escalates into a deadly encounter with a menacing crocodile, turning their content-creation journey into a desperate fight for survival.
According to Variety, breaking away from typical Bollywood Valentine’s Day fare, ‘Tu Yaa Main’ blends romance with pulse-pounding danger. Nambiar directs from a script by Abhishek Bandekar, which merges contemporary youth culture and digital content creation with primal survival stakes.
The film is produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under Colour Yellow, alongside Vinod and Kamlesh Bhanushali of Bhanushali Studios Limited.
Adarsh Gourav rose to international prominence with his BAFTA-nominated performance in Netflix’s The White Tiger, which also earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
His recent projects include ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, ‘Superboys of Malegaon’, and ‘Apple TV’s Extrapolations’. He also appeared in FX's ‘Alien: Earth’, portraying Slightly in the prequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic sci-fi franchise. Gourav made his acting debut as a teenager in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’.
Shanaya Kapoor returns to the big screen with her second feature, following her 2025 debut in ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’.
Nambiar, known for his stylized thrillers ‘Shaitan’ and ‘David’, most recently directed the bilingual action drama ‘Dange’ (Hindi) and ‘Por’ (Tamil) in 2024, further cementing his reputation for high-octane storytelling.
