TCP adopts Citizens’ Charter under Public Service Guarantee Act

Shimla, Feb 10 (UNI) In a move aimed at ensuring transparency and time-bound redressal of public grievances, the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has adopted a Citizens’ Charter under the Public Service Guarantee Act for disposal of complaints related to town and village planning.
A spokesperson of the Town and Country Planning Department said that detailed guidelines have been issued under the grievance redressal system to resolve public complaints in a fixed timeframe at the local level.
The primary objective of the system is to establish a transparent and accountable mechanism so that grievances related to planning issues are addressed without delay.
