Taxpayers urged to avail one-time interest waiver scheme: K Haritha

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) K Haritha, IAS, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Telangana, has appealed to taxpayers to take advantage of the one-time interest and penalty waiver scheme offered by the government by settling their tax demands by March 31, 2025.

Speaking at the GST Summit organized by the FTCCI, Commissioner Haritha addressed an audience of over 300 delegates, including industry members, advocates, CAs, CMAs, and tax professionals. She explained the benefits of the waiver scheme, which applies to the financial years 2017-18 to 2020-21, a statement here said on Monday.

Under this scheme, taxpayers can enjoy a complete waiver of interest and penalty by simply paying the full tax demand, subject to the specified conditions.

She urged taxpayers to clear their dues well before the March 31 deadline to avoid potential technical issues caused by a last-minute rush. Commissioner Haritha encouraged taxpayers to utilize this opportunity to resolve outstanding tax demands efficiently.

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram today stated that the free accident insurance scheme, launched for the first time in the country for Singareni employees and contract workers with the cooperation of government and private sector banks as per the directions of the State Government, has become a model for the entire nation.

Adani Kutch Copper inks deal with caravel for Australian project
