Tata Power expands its EV charger network on NH-65

Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) The Tata Power Company Limited has officially announced that it has joined hands with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEM) to expand its network of ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations on the NH-65, a major highway connecting important cities across Southern India.
As part of this effort, two more electric vehicle charging stations have been inaugurated at Vivera Junction, Narketpalle, featuring two 120 kW DC ultra-fast chargers, and 7 Midway Plaza, Suryapet, equipped with a 240 kW DC ultra-fast charger with two dispensers, according to a company statement.
Further strengthening its electric vehicle charging footprint across key mobility corridors and urban centres, Tata Power EZ Charge also inaugurated inaugurate new charging stations at Kopa Mall in Pune, Indian Oil Company Ltd locations on both sides of the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway, and a Shapoorji Pallonji Mini Hub in Kolkata equipped with six charging guns.
These additions are aimed at enhancing charging accessibility across city hubs and high-traffic travel routes, supporting a more convenient and reliable electric vehicle ownership experience for both daily commuters and long-distance travellers.
Both sites on NH-65 highway have been developed in collaboration with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and are co-branded with Tata.ev, offering a seamless charging experience for electric vehicle users travelling across the region.
The new stations on NH-65 highway provide convenient charging access for commuters and commercial EV users travelling between major urban centres, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and surrounding industrial and commercial hubs.
With these additions, the company now operates 150 EV charging points across Telangana, supporting the state's growing transition towards sustainable mobility.
The co-branded Tata.ev MegaCharger Hub is part of the rapidly expanding electric vehicle charging network, a flagship initiative of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, with more than charging points live across key corridors and cities in India. Many of these hubs are seamlessly accessible through the Tata Power EZ Charge App.
Tata Power has expanded its electric vehicle charging network under brand name- Tata Power EZ Charge to over 2.3 lakhs home chargers, more than 6500 public, semi-public and fleet charging points, along with more than 1,200 electric bus charging points across moret han 690 cities and towns.
Overall, Tata Power EZ charge has more than 5 lakh registered customers. These chargers have been strategically deployed at diverse and accessible locations such as highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, bus and commercial vehicle depots, residential complexes, etc. This concerted effort has been instrumental in facilitating the exponential growth of electric mobility in India. Tata Trusts begins move to find successor to Chandrasekaran

Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Tata Trusts which holds a controlling stake of 66 per cent in Tata Sons stated here in an official statement on Thursday that its nominee directors received an email from Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on August 12 informing them of his decision to step down after completing his present term.
The statement also mentioned that the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) has begun the process of appointing a successor to Chandrasekaran, a day after he announced that he would not seek another term after his current tenure concludes on February 20, 2027.
