Tamil daily Dinabhoomi owner dead as SUV collides with delivery van

Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu), Oct 14 (UNI) In a tragic incident, the publisher and owner of Madurai-based Tamil daily ‘Dinabhoomi’ was killed, while his son sustained grievous injuries in a road accident at Naalatinpudur near Kovilpatti in the southern district of Thoothukudi on Monday evening.
The Toyota Fortuner SUV in which S. Manimaran (65) was travelling crashed into the centre median, jumped into the opposite lane, and collided head-on with a container truck, police said.
The SUV was driven by Manimaran’s son, M. Satish (45).
