Taiwan Machine Tools market aims 6.3 pc CAGR, 3.48 bn dollars by 2030

Bengaluru, Jan 23 (UNI) Taiwan's machine tools market is poised for a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.3% between 2025 and 2030, aiming for US$3,477.1 million in revenue. Strengthening trade ties with India, Taiwan's machine tool exports to the country surged by an impressive 20.8% in 2024, reaching US$145.87 million.
This growth sets the stage for the Taiwan Excellence (TE) pavilion at IMTEX 2025, South and South-East Asia’s premier exhibition for machine tools and manufacturing technology, which opened today at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).
The TE pavilion showcases state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies from 13 leading Taiwanese brands, including AXISCO, AutoGrip, CHMER, HIWIN, Honor Seiki, INNGRIT, KANFON, MECOM, PALMARY, QUASER, OSCARMAX, SYNTEC, and TBI Motion. With India now ranked as the fourth-largest importer of Taiwanese machine tools, TE's presence at IMTEX 2025 reflects its dedication to supporting India’s manufacturing transformation.
During the week-long exhibition, the pavilion will unveil 17 innovative technologies aimed at revolutionising India's manufacturing sector. On the opening day, TE hosted a high-tech product launch session titled ‘Crafting Excellence for a Progressive Tomorrow’, which highlighted groundbreaking solutions from five key brands—CHMER, Quaser, Palmary, Syntec, and Hiwin.
Richard Chen, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in Chennai, emphasised Taiwan’s significant role in India’s manufacturing journey. “India’s manufacturing sector is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Taiwan is proud to contribute with advanced automation and machine tools. Our participation at IMTEX 2025 underscores our alignment with the ‘Make in India’ initiative,” he stated.
MG Balakrishna, President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), commended Taiwan’s contributions, saying, “The innovative solutions unveiled today will empower Indian industries to adopt sustainable practices, improve operational efficiency, and remain globally competitive.”
TE has consistently engaged in prominent Indian industry events to foster collaborations and innovation. With the Indian government actively promoting advanced manufacturing capabilities, the burgeoning trade relationship between India and Taiwan is expected to further bolster growth in the machine tools sector, driving mutual prosperity.
