Taijul takes five as spinners make it Bangladesh’s day against Zimbabwe

Chattogram, Apr 28 (UNI) Spinners Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan spun the momentum of the day in the final session as Zimbabwe reached 227-9 at stumps on Day 1 of the second and final Test at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium here on Monday.
Taijul claimed four wickets in the session and ended the day with 5-60, his 16th five-wicket haul in Tests, while Nayeem struck twice as Zimbabwe lost seven wickets for 66 runs in the final session.
Wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga and Blessing Muzarabani are unbeaten on 18 and two respectively and will resume the proceedings on Tuesday.
