Tabo monastery freezes at minus 7.4°C

Shimla, Nov 13 (UNI) The cold wave tightened its grip over Himachal Pradesh on Thursday as night temperatures dipped sharply across the state, pushing several high-altitude regions into sub-zero conditions.
The coldest temperature was recorded at Tabo Monastery in Lahaul Spiti, where the mercury slipped to minus 7.4°C, according to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla.
Other tribal belts also froze, with Keylong and Kukumseri at minus 3.3°C and minus 3.1°C respectively, while Kalpa in Kinnaur stood at minus 0.4°C. Tourist resorts experienced a sharp chill as well: Manali recorded 2.5°C, Narkanda 2.6°C, Solan 2.6°C, and Reckong Peo 2.2°C. Kufri remained colder at 4.7°C.

Beginning early in the morning, ED teams conducted searches at 25 locations connected to the suspected syndicate in Lucknow, Varanasi, Ranchi, Ahmedabad, Jaunpur and Saharanpur.
