SWR loaded rice from Gangavathi

Ubballi, 15 Feb (UNI) The Hubballi Division of the South Western Railway (SWR), has for the first time, loaded 1326 Tonnes of Rice from Gangavati Station to Azara Station near Guwahati in Assam.
Thus making the Gangavati in Koppal district in Karnataka, a major paddy growing centre in the State a new Loading Station on the Map of the Indian Railways, according to an official press release issued by the Headquarters of the SWR here today.
The Press release said that the 1326 Tonnes of Rice were loaded in 21 BCN wagons to Azara near Guwahati in Assam which is long lead traffic covering a Distance of 2795 Kms earning revenue of Rs.40.45 Lakhs to the Indian Railways.
