Sukhbir Badal holds closed-door meeting with farmer leader Balbir Rajewal in Punjab

Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) In a surprising political development, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal met farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal at his residence today.
The hour-long closed-door meeting, attended by former minister Sikandar Singh Maluka, has sparked speculation about its political implications, especially given farmers’ discontent with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab.
The meeting comes amid tensions between farmers and the AAP government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has publicly criticised farmers’ road blockades.
