Sudharsan enters elite IPL 50-plus club

Ahmedabad, May 21 (UNI) A defining statistical phase of IPL 2026 has been built around Sai Sudharsan, who continues to headline both consistency and partnership records, placing himself at the centre of some of the most elite batting milestones in men's T20 cricket.
Sudharsan has now matched the rare IPL record for most consecutive 50-plus scores, joining Virender Sehwag (2012), Jos Buttler (2018) and David Warner (2019) in achieving five successive half-centuries in a single season. The streak reinforces his growing reputation as one of the most dependable top-order performers in the league.
His season, however, is being defined not just by individual scoring consistency but by extraordinary partnership output. Sudharsan, alongside Shubman Gill, is part of an elite global group in men's T20 cricket for most century stands (any wicket).
