Students launch indefinite protest against JPSC over 16-month delay in results

Ranchi, Dec 17 (UNI) Students on Monday began an indefinite sit-in outside the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) office, alleging delay in the declaration of results of various competitive exams, which they said, have been pending for 16 months despite being ready.
According to the protesting students, repeated assurances by the Commission have failed to translate into action, leaving the future of thousands of candidates uncertain. They alleged that the delay has caused serious academic, professional and personal hardship to aspirants across the state.
The students said a delegation had met the JPSC Secretary around 10 days ago, during which they were assured that the results would be declared within two days. However, even after the passage of several days, neither have the results been published nor has any clear response been issued by the Commission.
