Stray dog bites over 50 people in Kannur town, creates panic

Kannur, June 17 (UNI) A stray dog, suspected to be rabid, attacked over 50 people, including women and children, in Kannur town today, creating panic.
Local authorities are working to identify and capture the dog.
The dog started biting people around 1100 am and this continued till evening. The dog attacked pedestrians at Bank Road, Prabhath Junction, including women who came to the town at Prabhat junction for banking purposes and others at Bank Road near New Bus stand.
