Stopping water supply to Pakistan is not right: Naresh Tikait

Saharanpur (UP), Apr 28 (UNI) In a statement on Pahalgam terror attack which has created a political row, Bharatiya Kisan Union's (BKU) president Chaudhary Naresh Tikait has said that the entire Pakistan is not guilty of the terrorist incident.
Tikait said that the decision to stop water to Pakistan is not right. "Whether the farmer is from India or Pakistan, he will suffer loss due to the stoppage of water," he said.
He said that the incident in Pahalgam is very sad. "The government should take strict action against terrorism, but stopping water by keeping the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance is a wrong decision of the government," he said.
