State Government committed to promoting sports and education: Prof. Chander Kumar

Jawali (Kangra), Oct 11 (UNI Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof. Chander Kumar today inaugurated the Under-14 Major District-level Sports Meet at Government Senior Secondary School, Guglada, and the Under-14 Minor Girls Sports Meet at Government Senior Secondary School, Bharmaad.
The competitions, being held from October 11 to 13, feature 320 athletes in the major boys’ events, including football, hockey, handball, and basketball, and 738 girls participating in kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, and volleyball in the minor category.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Chander Kumar said that sports play a vital role in the holistic development of youth, fostering physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence.
