Start Balika Panchayat to prevent child marriage: Maha Minister Tatkare tells officials

Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) The rate of child marriage is high among migrant labourers and workers. Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said on Tuesday, directing officials to implement an informative and public awareness campaign regarding children's homes in a particular area.
The campaign should ensure that the children of labourers and workers can live in the same place, Tatkare said.
She also gave instructions to start Balika Panchayat for public awareness.
