Chennai, Apr 17 (UNI) Sharpening his attack on the BJP and its ally, the AIADMK, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President
M K Stalin on Friday said the Delhi dominators, who could not directly enter TN, are trying to make it politically weaken through the conspiracy of delimitation of constituencies.
In a post on X after paying tributes on the occasion of the birth anniversary of freedeom fighter Dheeran Chinnamalai, who shook the Britishers, Mr Stalin said on that day, the British colonialists, who could not win through a direct battle, attempted to overthrow Chinnamalai through intrigue and deceit.
"Today, the Delhi dominators, who cannot directly enter Tamil Nadu, are trying to make us politically weaken and powerless through the conspiracy of delimitation of constituencies", he said.
"That day, a traitor betrayed Chinnamalai. Even today, some slaves, for their own selfish interests, are pawning the future of Mother Tamil Nadu at the feet of their RSS masters", Mr Stalin charged, taking a dig at the AIADMK
"On the birth anniversarry of Theeran Chinnamalai, I vow to win against these oppressors and slaves. Let's WinTogether', he added.
Mr Stalin had already issued a final warning to the BJP led government at the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give up the exercise saying if any harm was caused to TN on delimitation during the 3-day Special Session of Parliament which began yesterday, India will see the DMK of 1950s and 1960s (the days of height of anti Hindi agitation) that has never seen before.
He said this hurried attempt to push through delimitation was a blatant assault on democracy by the BJP government and more than that
it was a direct assault on the rights of states.
Highlighting about the grave danger that has now reached the very doorstep of Tamil Nadu and issuing a clear warning to the union BJP government, Mr Stalin said none knew how this delimitation exercise was going to be carried out as no explanation has been provided so far regarding the proposed Constitutional amendment.
When such secrecy surrounds this process, it only strengthens the suspicion that a grave danger lies beneath and the people of southern states are gripped with deep concern, he said.
Yesterday, members of the DMK and its alliance partners staged black flag demonstrations across the State and burnt the copies of the draft delimitation bill and shouted slogans denouncing the centre terming it as a legislative move aimed at turning the Tamil people as refugees in their own country.
“I am lighting yet another fire by burning the copy of the Bill which will turn the Tamils refugees in their own country. This fire will spread all over the Dravidian land and tame the arrogance of the BJP,” Stalin said after staging a protest and burning the copy of the draft Bill at Namakkal, where he was campaigning.
The DMK and its INDIA Bloc allies also observed a ‘Black Day’ to register their strong opposition to the Delimitation Bill by hoisting black flags at their respective party offices, homes and in public places and staged a demonstration.
In Chennai, black flags was hoisted at the DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, where leaders of the DMK and the alliance party members staged a slogan shouting demonstration, and at the residences of the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister.
