Stage set for Mizoram bypoll

Aizawl, Nov 10 (UNI) With all preparations completed, the stage is set for the Dampa assembly constituency bye-election scheduled for Tuesday.
The Mizoram Chief Electoral Officer’s office, in coordination with the Mamit district administration, has confirmed that all polling parties and security personnel have reached their designated stations.
Joint Chief Electoral Officer Ethel Rothangpuii said polling teams assigned to six remote villages along the Bangladesh border—Silsury-1, Silsury-2, Silsury-3, Zopui, Hnahva and Lianbuang—arrived at their destinations on Sunday due to difficult terrain and distance.
