Sri Lanka: Parliament website removes Dr title from the profile of Speaker

Colombo, Dec 10 (UNI) Amid allegations over the academic qualifications of Speaker Asoka Ranwala, the Sri Lankam Parliament website has removed the title 'Dr.' from his profile, a media report said.
Previously listed as “Dr. Asoka Ranwala,” his name now appears as “Asoka Ranwala MP,” raising further doubts about the legitimacy of his alleged doctorate, according to The Daily Mirror reported.
It has been reported that the webpage was updated within the last 24 hours to remove the title 'Dr.' from the Speaker's profile.
