Ngetich sets world record, Almgren breaks European mark at road running worlds

Oslo, Sep 21 (UNI) Kenya's Agnes Ngetich broke the women's-only half marathon world record and Sweden's Andreas Almgren set a European record as they won titles at the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen. Ngetich led from the start to win the women's race in 1 hour, 5 minutes and 15 seconds on Sunday, shaving one second off the previous record set by compatriot Peres Jepchirchir in 2020.
