81-Year-Old Hyderabad Swimmer Wins Five Medals at Asian Masters Championships

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Lakshmi Narayana Kollipara, an 81-year-old retired Additional Secretary to the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Government, won five medals, including three golds, at the 2nd Asian Masters Swimming Championships 2026 held at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru from October 4 to 10. Kollipara won gold medals in the 200-metre freestyle, 200-metre breaststroke and 400-metre freestyle events. He also secured silver in the 100-metre freestyle and bronze in the 50-metre freestyle. A regular swimmer at the Vayupuri Recreation Centre in Vayupuri, Sainikpuri, he attributed his achievement to disciplined practice, regular exercise and a longstanding passion for swimming.…
