Congress attacks UPI charges, demands immediate withdrawal

Bengaluru, Sept 17 (UNI) Congress on Thursday mounted a sharp attack on the Centre over the proposed additional charges on UPI transactions, warning that making digital payments costlier would amount to penalising people for using a system the government itself had promoted. Party leaders and workers, including S Manohar, A Anand and G Prakash, opposed the proposed charges and demanded their immediate withdrawal.
