Special programmes held across 21,000 Village Organisations on state's Silver Jubilee Foundation Day

Ranchi, Nov 14 (UNI) Marking the Silver Jubilee of State's Foundation Day, the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), under the Rural Development Department, organised special programmes simultaneously across more than 21,000 Village Organisations (VOs) in the state. Rural women associated with Sakhi Mandals, along with local public representatives, participated enthusiastically in these community events. The discussions across VOs focused on state's 25-year development journey, socio-economic changes, and the growing leadership of women in rural governance and livelihoods.
During the meetings, extensive community discussions were held on food security, nutrition, and health. Sakhi Mandals collectively outlined their development priorities for the next five years. Women members resolved to ensure 100 per cent repayment of Community Investment Funds (CIF) and bank loans, strengthen financial discipline, expand livelihood activities, and link women-headed, single, and ultra-poor households with the Vulnerability Reduction Fund (VRF) and livelihood schemes. They also reiterated their commitment to adhering to pledges related to gender-based violence prevention, improved health and nutrition practices, and community strengthening.
At the conclusion of the statewide initiative organised during the Silver Jubilee year, top-performing Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and cadres who made noteworthy contributions in various fields were honoured.
