New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Southwest monsoon is set to arrive over Kerala and some parts of Northeastern states in the next three-four days as the conditions continue to remain favourable for the onset of the monsoon over these regions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.
According to the IMD, the remnants of Cyclone Remal over east Bangladesh moved east-northeastwards and lay centred over the same region. The system is likely to move east-northeastwards, and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over eastern Assam and neighbourhood by Tuesday evening.
Under its influence, fairly widespread to light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is likely over Northeastern states for the next seven days.
